Vicious Cycle of Bipolar Disorder on CBS® – Missing Tempo Maps – Today’s #YR, #BB soapbox scores | ALL THIS TIME, Sting – REDEMPTION SONG, Bob Marley And The Whalers

Today’s Young And The Restless® featured a manic-depressive (“bipolar”) Sharon trying to apologize for that which she had done under the influence of her mental illness.

Bob Marley’s REDEMPTION SONG focuses on that which Sharon needs: redemption. Why does she need it? Because as Sting quotes Jung at the end of ALL THIS TIME “men go crazy in congregations they only get better one by one.”

Therein lies the vicious circle of trying to “redeem” oneself for being manic depressive. As Sting’s song especially, the story of the human adrift can only be understood when the entirety of the [story] is told. The circular problem therewith in the case of mental illness is that it cannot be PROVEN on a blood test, and those with mental illnesses are most often accused of whining hypersensitivity.

The Bold and the Beautiful asks again: is it sometimes better to leave a “white” lie alone?  Does everyone need to know the exact truth about everything, even at the expense of an easy flowing status quo?
